2 Samuel 8:1-18
Introduction
Our world is broken. People hurting others, people being hurt, natural disasters, war, famine, racism, prejudice, illness, abuse, homelessness, and babies being killed. We don’t have to look very far to see and feel the problems around us, and within us. Where are we to look for hope? How will things be made right? The world hopes in lots of things: politicians, political parties, programs, policies, education, etc. As important and helpful as those things can be, if the world is broken because of sin, we need someone who can fix the root problem of sin. Our hope, the Bible says, is in a King who can bring perfect justice and equity.
